It has low thermal expansion than most high temperature alloys, and good resistance to grain coarsening with prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

Applications:

Haynes 230 can be used for gas turbine engine combustion tank, transition tube, rear burner, flame stabilizer and thermocouple sheath; high temperature heat exchanger; industrial furnace heat resistant parts.
